A couple I met at church has really been struggling this past year. The husband lost his job at the beginning of the year but was fortunate to find a new one. The wife was let go from her position in October and has not been able to find a new job. At the end of October they were evicted from their apartment. The couple have a total of 5 children through a blended family and expressed to me that they were really struggling with how they will purchase Christmas gifts on top of everything they are going through. They live check to check with his income and try to do the best they can. I felt in my heart that they were the perfect family for this gift. When I gave them the $100 they were in so much shock and happy that they could at least get each of their children at least one gift. I mentioned the Angels on the Street is something my work company does every year. They thanked me and Payday. I am very grateful that I could do this every year!
