Kimberly Harrell Friberg’s Story

I had the pleasure of meeting Abbie a few years ago. Abbie’s dedication to caregiving was truly exceptional. She consistently sought out opportunities to assist seniors and always went above and beyond. Unfortunately, she is facing several health challenges, including sickle cell disease. She had informed me that she had been hospitalized and asked if I could stop by Lovelace for a hug and some prayers. When I inquired about her needs, she simply asked for some warm clothes/sweaters/jackets for her two grandchildren from a thrift store. I asked her what her plans were for Thanksgiving for her family. It was at that moment I realized that the Angel money was meant for her! The funds were utilized to purchase new socks, some winter clothing, and a Thanksgiving meal kit from Whole Foods, which included turkey, gravy, mashed potatoes, green beans, and stuffing! I also found a perfect pumpkin pie.

I am incredibly grateful to be part of an organization that offers community support!
