My son has a friend in his friend group at school that lived with his aunt and her boyfriend. Last holiday season, his aunt passed away and everyone had to move out. He ended up moving in with the aunt’s boyfriend and had to get a job to help pay the rent and bills. Fast forward to now, I was talking to my kids about finding someone to give the Angels on the Streets envelope to and my son reminded me of his friend. Telling me that the boyfriend has been in jail and will be for awhile so rent and bills need to be paid by his friend. He was looking for a roommate and does work a full-time job while also attending school in his senior year. He is the person we chose. My son gave him the envelope on Friday and came back to tell me he was extremely thankful.
